Northern Illinois 11/2/91-9/19/92

Northern Illinois began the season with a loss at (non-directional) Illinois before beating non-Div. IA Illinois State. Then they traveled to Arkansas State and came home Shame Mask-less after their 31-0 win.

Arkansas State 9/19/92-11/21/92

After getting Shame Mask II from Northern Illinois, Arkansas State beat Southern Illinois (non-Div. IA) before losing at home to two non-Div. IA opponents, Northwestern Louisiana and Troy State. Then they "improved" by losing four straight noncompetetive road games to mediocre Div. IA teams, Memphis, Mississippi State, Louisiana Tech and East Carolina. However, their final game of the season took them to Louisiana-Lafayette, losers of 8 straight games against Div. IA teams and wearing the Golden Gopher Shame Mask. Arkansas State won 20-7 and sent Shame Mask II back to broom closet in Evanston, IL.
