Kansas State: 11/5/88-9/15/90

Things started to look up for Kansas State in 1990, Bill Snyder's second season. They won their first game of the season, beating non-Div. IA Western Illinois 27-6. Then in week two, they beat New Mexico State 52-7. It was their first win over a Div. IA team other than Kansas since they beat 1-10 Missouri on 10/26/1985. Nearly 5 years! They ended up 5-6.

New Mexico State: 9/15/90-11/17/90

New Mexico State took off the Golden Gopher Shame Mask when they beat Kansas on October 1, 1988. They then lost their next 27 games. The last 7 of those were while they were wearing the GGSM. But in the final game of the 1990 season, they hosted Cal State Fullerton and won 43-7.
