Wow, a tough year for Kansas State. After going 0-11 in 1988, they went 1-10 in 1989 with the only win coming in their fourth game, beating North Texas (which was not in Div. IA) at home 20-17. They also lost 10-8 to the non-Div. IA opponent Northern Iowa. In their games against Div. IA opponents, they never scored more than 20 and never allowed fewer than 21. Ouch.
