OSM: 1989

1989 was a strange year in that it only saw a team wearing a Shame Mask win 3 times.

Ohio: 11/19/88-10/21/89

Ohio began their season with losses to Toledo, Iowa State, Eastern Michigan, Vanderbilt, LSU, and Bowling Green. Then things began to look up when they tied Miami (OH) 22-22, to give Miami (OH) Shame Mask II. The next week, Ohio beat Kent State 31-14. The finished the season 1-9-1.

SMII: Miami (OH): 10/14/89-10/28/89

After gaining Shame Mask II, Miami (OH) lost to Toledo, but then they beat Bowling Green.

SMII: Bowling Green: 10/28/89-11/4/89

Bowling Green got the Shame Mask just in time to set up a match-up of two Shame Mask wearing teams on November 4 when Bowling Green hosted Kent State and won 51-28, sending Shame Mask II back to the broom closet in Evanston, IL.

OSM: Kent State 10/21/89-end of the season

1989 was a horrible year for Kent State. They went 0-11.
