Well, that unity of the Shame Mask didn't last long. Ohio began the 1991 season by tying Central Michigan 17-17, and so Shame Mask II is dusted off and locked around the head of the Chippawahs.

SMII: Central Michigan: 8/31/91-9/7/91

Central Michigan does not like wearing the mask, and so they quickly passed it along to Louisiana-Lafayette, beating them the next week 27-24.

SMII: Louisiana-Lafayette: 9/7/91-11/2/91

After taking on the mask, La-Lafayette lost to Wyoming, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Miami (OH), and Tulsa before tying Louisiana Tech 14-14, causing Shame Mask III to be needed again. The next week, La-Lafayette beat Northern Illinois 13-12.

SMII: Northern Illinois: 11/2/91-end of the season

Norther Illinois beat non-Div. IA Illinois State and then lost to Toledo to end the season 2-9.

SMIII: Louisiana Tech: 10/26/91-11/16/91

Louisiana Tech beat two non-Div. IA opponents, Louisiana-Monroe and Southern Illinois, before beating Southern Miss in a game that could remove the Shame Mask.

SMIII: Southern Miss: 11/16/91-end of the season

Southern Miss had no more games to play in 1991 after getting the mask.

OSM: Ohio: 10/20/90-10/26/91

After their season opening tie, Ohio beat non-Div. IA Tennessee Tech, before losing to Ole Miss, Western Michigan, Toledo, Bowling Green, and Miami (OH). Then they beat Kent State 45-40.

OSM: Kent State: 10/26/91-11/2/91

Kent State only kept the Shame Mask for one week this time. They beat Toledo 14-13.

OSM: Toledo: 11/2/91-11/16/91

Toledo lost to Ball State 9-3 before beating Eastern Michigan 21-14.

OSM: Eastern Michigan: 11/16/91-end of the season

Eastern Michigan had no more games to play in 1991.
