Duke: 10/21/96-9/20/97

Duke entered the 1997 riding a 13 game losing streak did nothing to change this in the first two weeks of the season losing to North Carolina State and Northwestern. Unfortunately for Duke, they did not schedule the Air Force Academy in 1997. In week 3 they handed the Golden Gopher Shame Mask to Army and then beat Navy the following week. Unfortunately they lost their final seven games of the season, so undefeated against service academies, winless against all other schools in 1997.

Army: 9/20/97-10/18/97

Army lost to Miami (OH) and Tulane before Rutgers came to town. The Rutgers on a 9 game losing streak. Army won 37-35 and finished 4-7.

Rutgers: 10/18/97-end of the season

Rutgers ended 1997 with a four additional losses to run their losing streak to 14 games.
