OSM: 1996

Kent State: 9/16/95-10/5/96

After terrible season-opening 64-6 loss at Miami (OH) and a not quite so terrible 52-14 loss at Pittsburgh, Kent State ended its 10 game losing streak with a win over non-Div. IA Youngstown State. They lost again the next week to Nevada Reno, but then they were able to send the Zips back to Akron wearing the Shame Mask with a 32-17 win. It was their last win of the season.

Akron: 10/5/96-10/19/96

Akron lost in convincing fashion at Central Michigan 42-0, but then they were able to edge Miami (OH) 10-7.

Miami (OH): 10/19/96-11/2/96

After a home loss to the Army team that went 10-2 that year, Miami (OH) went to Toledo and left the Shame Mask there with a 27-7 win.

Toledo: 11/2/96-11/9/96

Toledo wasted no time and got rid of the Shame Mask at their first opportunity, beating Central Michigan 23-20

Central Michigan: 11/9/96-end of the season

The Chipawahs had no more games to play after getting the mask.
