Sept. 18--First, shame on me for getting behind.

Homestanding Western Kentucky had a mixed start against the Hoosiers. Indiana returned the opening kickoff 87 yards, but then two plays later they fumbled at the six. WKU recovered and then put together a nice 10-play, 91-yard touchdown drive. Thanks to a missed field goal, the Hilltoppers held this 7-0 lead into the second quarter, but then Indiana took control. Fifteen seconds before halftime, Indiana scored a touchdown to take a 17-7 lead and then successfully recovered an onside kick. Sort of unfair, if you ask me. Did it demoralize the Hilltoppers? Who can say? Indiana extended the lead to 31-7 by the end of the third quarter, but then WKU won the fourth quarter two touchdowns to one.
