Nebraska 49, OSM{Western Kentucky} 10

Western Kentucky faced a tall order if they wanted to snap their 20-game losing streak, heading to Lincoln to take on Nebraska, the 8th ranked team in preseason AP poll. The Cornhusker defense stiffled the Hilltopper attack in the first half, allowing them to cross midfield only once on a penalty. The Nebraska offense started early, too, with two drives in the first 5 minutes, 20 seconds of the game.

WKU's Bobby Rainey did manage to break through for a 46-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter en route to a career high 155 yards on 30 carries, but it wasn't enough.

The Hilltoppers try to break that very unluckly streak of 28 straight losses to I-A (FBS) opponents next week at Kentucky.
